Q: How can I find out who is performing?

A: We feature live music every night of the week. Check the calendar for performers, times, cover charge, and other details of individual performances.

Q: What does it cost to get in?

A: Cover charge is generally $4-$15, depending on the band. Check the calendar for specific cover charges. We do not turn over the house. We do not have a drink minimum. There is no cover charge during the day when no band is performing.

Q: How can I make a reservation?

A: We don’t take reservations. We have a cover charge at the door. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Q: How can I buy tickets?

A: We don’t sell tickets. We have a cover charge at the door.

Q: I’m not 21. Can I still go to the Green Mill?

A: Chicago law says you must be 21+ to get into a tavern. We want to keep our license, so the age limit is strictly enforced. You must show proper I.D. to enter.

Q: What are your hours?

A: M-F noon-4am; Sat noon-5am; Sun 11am-4am

Q: Do you take credit cards?

A: We take American Express only. We do have an ATM on-site.

Q: Do you serve food?

A: We do not serve food, but there are many good restaurants within walking distance, including Mexican, Ethiopian, Chinese, and American.

Q: Where do I park my car?

A: We have a free parking lot reserved for our customers from 6pm-6am one block west of the Green Mill, at Lawrence & Magnolia. Your vehicle will be towed outside of those hours.

Q: What is the dress code?

A: We don’t have a dress code. Come in jeans or dressed to the nines.

Q: Can I get a tour of the tunnels?

A: No.
